Wellsville: The Resurrection Drive-Through Experience

The Resurrection Drive-Through Experience
Wellsville, New York Easter Sunday Special
Easter Sunday, April 12 noon-3 p.m.

We often find ourselves recognizing Easter in our usual ways: elaborate Easter baskets, fancy clothes, obligatory church visit, and a feast with family. In 2020, this is not our reality.  Instead, let’s see Easter with fresh eyes.  People from many denominations across the region have come together to bring you a safe, socially-distant opportunity to celebrate the story of Jesus: the Resurrection Drive-Through Experience.

This event is a free, open to the public Easter celebration tour given in remembrance of the first Easter. Please plan on taking some time this Easter Sunday to experience the story in a new way. This driving tour take place Easter Sunday, April 12 from noon- 3 p.m. and covers approximately 2 miles with 8 stops along the way.  Each stop is by a front yard and will depict something symbolic concerning different segments of the Easter story.  Please remember to stay in your cars.

You will need to take a guide with you, which is available for print or download on our facebook event page: “Resurrection Drive-Through Experience” (link: https://www.facebook.com/events/2548931475374369/) or on this website: wellsvillefullgospel.org This guide contains a map, instructions, a narrative that you will read in your vehicle and ways to customize your experience, such as streaming music from your phones.  This guide will be available on both the Facebook website and the Events Calendar on Friday, April 10.

This is an opportunity to get out with your family, honor social distancing recommendations, and still enjoy Easter Sunday! (YOU WON'T BE GETTNG OUT OF YOUR CAR!).

Do you know someone who would enjoy this experience or needs some hope in the midst of our current circumstances?  Consider doing one or more of the following:
-tell a friend!
-share the facebook page
-if you know someone who doesn’t have computer access, print the guide and leave it at their doorstep so they can have access
-if you know someone illiterate, offer to read the guide to them on the phone while they drive to the stops
