Charles Edwin “Ed” Boyden, 81, of Harrison Valley, PA, died
Friday, January 10, 2020. Born December
27, 1938, in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of Charles J. and Lourine Peterson
Boyden. On September 19, 1965, in
Irvington, NJ, he married the former Mary T. “Mary Ann” Miller, who
survives. A US Army Veteran, he served
honorably from 1961 – 1963. Ed worked as
a farmer for many years and was employed by Riegel Paper in Warren Glen, NJ and
US Gypsum in Clark, NJ. He was a member
of the People’s Church of Potter Brook and the American Legion. Surviving besides his wife, Mary Ann,
are: four children, John E. (Joni)
Boyden of Bowling Green, KY, Matthew C. Boyden of Whitehouse Station, NJ,
Darlene E. Boyden of Whitehouse Station, NJ, and Christina M. Boyden of Maui,
HI; and three granddaughters, Abbygail Marie Boyden, Hailey Jo Boyden, and
Carissa Ruth Boyden. He was predeceased
by brother, George K. Boyden. Friends
may call at the People’s Church of Potter Brook, 62 Rte. 49, Westfield, PA on
Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., with Funeral Services
following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gene Jones
will officiate. Burial will be in
Ulysses Cemetery. Military Rites will be
accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the People’s Church
of Potter Brook, 62 Rte. 49, Westfield, PA 16950. Arrangements are entrusted to Olney Funeral
