Two in custody following foot pursuit in Bolivar

Allegany County Sheriff Rick L. Whitney reports that on January 17, 2020, with the assistance of the New York State Police and the Bolivar Police Department, Deputies arrested David L. Phearsdorf, age 36 of Bolivar on an Allegany County Violation of Probation Warrant.

Phearsdorf was arrested following a traffic stop and foot pursuit in the Town of Bolivar. Phearsdorf was then transported to the Allegany County Jail to be held without bail pending an appearance in Allegany County Court on a later date.

Deputies also arrested Brandon G. Gaines, age 37 of Bolivar, who was a second passenger in the vehicle, following a brief foot pursuit. Gaines was processed and transported to the Allegany County Jail to be held without bail for New York State Parole.
