On Tuesday January 28th, WRAQ (Angelica radio) presents a special edition of Classic Baseball, as host Justin Thaine will be joined in studio by the Town of Birdsall historian, as they remember major league baseball players of the late 19th and early 20th century that came from Allegany County. Tune in at 10:30a.m. and hear about pitchers Rube Kroh of Friendship, and Lady Baldwin (not a lady) of Oramel, and others. Discussions will take place between innings of the re-aired 1937 All Star game from Washington D.C.'s old Griffith Stadium, featuring more well known names such as Dizzy Dean, Lou Gehrig, and a young Joe DiMaggio, as well as other of the game's greats. Listen in live at 92.7 FM or on line at WRAQ.ORG !
