Obituary: Bruce E. Miller, 67, of Shinglehouse


Bruce E. Miller“beloved son, father and grandfather”
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Bruce E. Miller, 67, of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
Bruce was born in Olean, N.Y. on July 5, 1952.  He attended school in Eldred and at Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.  Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He held many jobs through the years, mostly as a manager. He was last employed   the former Uni-Mart Store as manager in Shinglehouse before his retirement.
Bruce was a member of VFW Post #2092 in Eldred.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, with his favorite driver being Chase Elliott.  He enjoyed golfing and watching college football.
Surviving are his mother, Onalie Austin of Shinglehouse; his sons, Matt (Elizabeth) Miller of Rixford, Alex (Jessica Harvey) Miller of Shinglehouse, Justin (Cate Kuderka) Miller of Shinglehouse, Joe (Julie) Miller of Fairborn, Ohio; an older son; a daughter; and several grandchildren, including Jameson Emery Miller.
In keeping with Bruce’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.  A celebration of his life will be held at a place and date to be announced by his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Bruce’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
