TWIN TIERS COMIC-CON TO TAKE PLACE AT THE ARNOT EVENT CENTER-IT HAS A WELLSVILLE CONNECTION

Page One Entertainment is pleased to announce that the 6th annual Twin Tiers Comic-Con (T2C2) will take place at the Arnot Event Center in Big Flats, NY on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10h, 2019.  T2C2 is the Twin Tiers’ largest Pop Culture and Comic Convention featuring over 50 artists, writers, and vendors. This year the Guest of Honor is actor Seth Gilliam, star of The Walking Dead, The Wire, Teen Wolf, Oz, Starship Troopers, and more. Also appearing is Pittsburgh Pirates legend, catcher Manny Sanguillen. The comic book Special Guests this year are Mike Raicht (Stuff of Legend), Mike Garland (Wolverine, Captain Marvel), Ken Wheaton (Popeye, Simpsons), Charles Barnett (The Incredible Hulk, Doctor Strange), and more!

Throughout the event, guests can take part in video game tournaments, virtual reality gaming, board game demonstrations, RC Car races, and photo opportunities with replica vehicles including:

Wellsville’s own NYS SHIELD with their Marvels: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. SUV, throwback S.H.I.E.L.D. car and all new S.H.I.E.L.D. motorcycle; as well as the Batmobile, Bat boat, DeLorean from Back to the Future, Supernatural Impala, and a Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.  Attendees can attend question-and-answer panels hosted by comic and film industry professionals, trivia contests, and cosplay themed panels.  TheT2C2 Cosplay Nation will be filled with professional and amateur cosplay guests throughout the event, and is featuring the 6th annual Costume Contest with $500 in cash prizes, sponsored by Geico! The convention will also feature a variety of vendors who will be selling comic books, toys, novels, crafts, and other pop culture merchandise.  Food and refreshments will also be available, provided by our sponsor and exclusive food vendor Outback Steakhouse.

General admission PRE-SALE tickets to Twin Tiers Comic Con are $12 for a One Day Pass, $17 for a Two Day Pass and $30 for a VIP pass, which includes art prints and more. Ticket prices increase at the door to $15 for One Day, $20 for Two Day, and $40 for the VIP.  Children 12 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult. 

In honor of Veterans Day, this year all Veterans will have FREE admission to Twin Tiers Comic-Con 2019, sponsored by Page One Entertainment, and Sound Go Round. There will also be fundraising to benefit Wounded Warrior Project throughout T2C2 weekend, and we will have special Warrior Speaks presentation with Warrior Michael Carrasquillo.

NYS S.H.I.E.L.D. Division - Biography

Co-Founder, Shane Allen is a 25+ year computer engineer from Wellsville, NY.  He is owner and operator of COMPUTER SOLUTIONS located at 75 N. Main Street in the heart of downtown Wellsville, NY.  When Shane is not taking care of his broad customer base he is also a huge action Sci-Fi, DC and Marvel Cinematic fan.  Shane met Ryan Nixon in 2011 and the two of them have been doing Comic Con cosplay events together ever since. 

2013 FORD EDGE SPORT- S.H.I.E.L.D. INTERCEPTOR,  this vehicle is based upon the 2011 Acura MDX, created by Cinema Vehicle Services  used in the movies:  The Avengers (2012) and Captain America - the Winter Solder (2014) and TV Show: Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013).  This vehicle was purchased in August 2017. S.H.I.E.L.D. modifications research and development were started in the following months and has been continuously being upgraded since then.  This vehicle has done several movie premier openings, Comic Con fan events and has even unexpectedly aided in helping save a life of a stroke/heart attack victim.            

Co-Founder, Ryan Nixon is the Owner of Stitch’s Loft a Prop & Costume consulting company with headquarters based out Wellsville, NY. Ryan is a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy.  He served as military police officer and Aviation Life Support Technician for over 20 years! He dabbled in some costumes during high school, and while in Navy was asked to assist Ron Howard’s team with few items for the (1995) movie Apollo 13. Ryan then really got into prop and costuming due to his love of Stargate in 2005 and started doing all his own costumes and helping friends with small items and vest modifications. In early 2010 just before retiring from the Navy Ryan was hired by a Warner Brothers Team for his flight gear expertise for the (2011) Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively. He personally helped with all the flight scenes, even given a cameo role in the film, and got to personally fit Ryan & Blake with all their flight gear costumes and was asked to help direct Ryan’s ejection sequence in the film. After the movie Ryan decided to start his own consulting company. He was called back to help with the (2013) Enders Game movie starring Harrison Ford, and then went on to provide supplies and props for (2013-2014 Season 2 of NBC’s hit show REVOLUTION. Ryan was also asked to provide some items for (2014) Transformers: Age of Extinction. In Summer of 2017 was asked to consult on the new Stargate ORGINS web series and then provided some background props for the (2019) Captain Marvel movie…

1999 FORD CROWN VICTORIA- S.H.I.E.L.D. INTERCEPTOR, was originally an Arkansas Bureau of Investigation car that later became a storm chaser car for a freelance Fox New Storm Chaser in Oklahoma City. Ryan then purchased it off eBay in the fall of 2008. Ryan used it while performing his duties as an Animal Cruelty Investigator while serving with the Allegany County SPCA in 2010 after retiring from the Navy. In late February of 2019 it started its journey of becoming a Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. throwback vehicle after some sparking ideas of the path S.H.I.E.L.D. would have taken after the mid 90’s events of Captain Marvel.
