Allegany County: Judge hands Tonawanda man prison sentence

A Tonawanda man is headed to state prison for possessing drugs during a traffic stop May 17th on State Route 244 in Alfred. Mario T. Turner was sentenced as a predicate felony Friday by judge Terry Parker to serve 2 1/2 years in prison. He must also serve two years of post-release supervision. Prosecutors said Turner possessed crack cocaine with the intent to sell it. The case was prosecuted by Amanda Finn and Turner was represented by Pat Fogarty of the Public Defender's Office.
