New push for back-seat seatbelts for all in New York

There is a push for new law requiring all passengers to wear seat belts when riding in the back seat in New York. The measure was announced during a news conference today from AAA and the Medical Society of the State of New York. The state Senate could advance proposed legislation on the measure this week. Democratic Sen. David Carlucci of Rockland County has sponsored the  bill. Right now the law requires seat belts for all front-seat passengers as well as all passengers younger than 16 in the back seat.
