Burns man avoids prison sentence, receives probation in Allegany County burglary

There will be no prison time for a man who illegally entered a Town of Burns house trailer. In Allegany County court today, Judge Terrance Parker sentenced Dustin Loveland, 32, of Burn to five years probation for his guilty plea to attempted burglary. Loceland was initially charged with felony burglary. He was also ordered to make restitution in the amount of $582.79, pary a $325 court surcharge and a $50 DNA fee. According to prosecutors, on September 2, 2018, Loveland illegally entered a trailer on State Route 36 in Burns and stole property outside the home, including scrap metal. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Tom Fuocco. Loveland was represented by Paul DiCola, Assistant Public Defender.
