Wellsville American Legion Riders support students entering military


In attendance were: (included in picture) Front: Keegan Weber, Fiona Brown, Emma Terhune and Dennis White, Post 702 Legion Rider Director.  Back:  Yvonne Simmons, Unit 702 AL Auxiliary 1st Vice; Shawn Merkwa, Post 702 SAL Squadron 1st Vice and Brent Roberts, Post 702 Commander.
Morrison Hayes Post 702 Wellsville American Legion Riders hosted a spaghetti dinner of appreciation on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 for students and their families entering any branch of the military this year.  Cake, depicting all five branches of the military, was also served.  Students are: Nevin Allen (Alfred Almond), Army; Fiona Brown (Andover) Army National Guard, Emma Terhune (Andover) Air Force National Guard; Mauricio Martinez and Keegan Weber (Bolivar-Richburg) Marines; Aaron Cummins (Friendship) Army; John Raub (Genesee Valley) Navy; (Wellsville) Air Force: Bryce Beckwith, Erin Billings, Destiny Conley and Grave Emerson; Army: Ayanna Brown, Anthony Carmichael and Marines: Dakota Gaylord, Travis Middaugh and Caleb Swift. Post 702 Legion Rider Director, Dennis White was Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Also, in attendance was Post 702 Commander Brent Roberts, Unit 702 AL Auxiliary 1st Vice, Yvonne Simmons, (who presented the mothers with a gift of appreciation) and Post 702 SAL Squadron 1st Vice Shawn Merkwa.
