State police Friday arrested Tonia M. Smith, 45, of Painted Post. She was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. She was remanded to jail on $25,000 bail.
Troopers said the incident happened at 12:30 p.m. Friday when Smith allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian, who was attempted to cross Route 415.
