Road Improvement Work Underway in Bradford, PA - Potter County also on the schedule

Bradford, PA –   Roadway improvement work began today in Bradford on a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation project. This work is expected to extend the useful life of the roadway and improve overall ride quality.
Through the end of the month, crews will work a mill and fill operation along High Street, Owens Way, South Avenue, West Corydon Street, and Sullivan Road—all in Bradford. Paving of these same streets is scheduled for August and PennDOT will issue an update prior to that work.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers in the roadway enforcing an alternating traffic pattern. Drivers should expect delays as work takes place.
Later this summer, a section of Route 49 in Potter County-from Coudersport to Harrison Valley, will also see improvement work.
Overall work includes milling, roadway repair, ADA ramps, and paving. A small amount of drainage work is also planned along Route 49.
Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor on this $5.1 million job, which is expected to be complete by October. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
