Fillmore man gets jail sentence for violating order of protection

A Fillmore man was sentenced to jail today for violating on order of protection. After pleading guilty to 2nd degree criminal contempt in Allegany County court, 53-year-old David Scott was sentenced to one year in the county jail. Judge Thomas Brown also issued a five year order of protection, assessed Scott a $200 surcharge and $50 DNA fee. According to a District Attorney court report, on April 26, 2018 in Granger, Scott used his fist and punched the victim in the head, pulled the victims hair and slammed the victims head into the hood of a truck. Scott had originally been charged with 1st degree criminal contempt and 2nd degree harassment. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Tom Fuoco. Scott was represented by Paul DiCola.
