On Sunday July 22nd at approximately 11:40 p.m. following a field interview in the Village, Cuba Police arrested Herbert H. Humphrey, 56, of Michigan. Humphrey was wanted for absconding from parole and was deemed a fugitive of justice from the Michigan State Corrections Department. Humphrey was taken into custody, processed, arraigned in front of a judge and placed in the Allegany County Jail to await possible extradition. Humphrey is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
