Pearl City Jazz to perform in Cuba, NY, on Friday December 15th at 7:30 PM.


Cuba - The Palmer is presenting a concert on Friday December 15th,  at 7:30 p.m. featuring Pearl City Jazz. Admission is by donation.
Pearl City Jazz is a 17 piece Big Band with members from the Jamestown NY. and Warren PA. area. The band is led by Ralph "Razz" Rassmussen.  The band plays a variety of big band and jazz pieces including swing, dance and contemporary jazz works.
Dance Arts Olean will be offering Basic East Coast Swing Dance Lessons from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. prior to this event!! The venue will be set up in a bistro style seating to accommodate dancing. Adult beverages and other refreshments will be available.

This program is partially sponsored by by the Allegany Arts Association, with partial funding by from the NYS Council on the Arts Decentralization Re-Grant Program with support from Gov. Mario Cuomo and the NYS Legislature administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.
The Palmer Opera House in Cuba is a vintage theater located in New York. This historic theater is steeped with rich character and details of another era. Palmer Opera House was built in 1867, and after a long and rich history fell into disrepair and restoration began in 2006 by the Cuba Friends of Architecture, the non profit organization charged with maintaining the historic venue.  
Proceeds from this show will benefit the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the historic venue.
