Cuba Police Blotter

Following a burglary investigation that occurred in October a 17-year-old male from Cuba and a 17-year-old male from Rushford have been arrested and charged with burglary in the second degree (felony) after they allegedly burglarized a home in Cuba last month. Both were processed and arraigned with the Cuba youth getting an appearance ticket to Cuba Court and the Rushford Youth going to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail. He is also to reappear in Cuba Court on a later date. More charges are pending in this case. Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Following an investigation into a larceny reported by the Elm Street Academy on November 9th, a 17-year-old Franklinville male was arrested for petit larceny after he allegedly stole a pair of BEATS headphones from another student at the Elm Street Academy. The youth was processed and given an appearance ticket to appear in the Cuba Town Court. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty. (Name withheld due to age)

 Jessee J. Bissett, 32, of Whitesville was arrested for petit larceny after he allegedly stole goods from the Giant Food Mart. After exciting the store Bissett allegedly jumped into the back of a passing pickup truck and a short pursuit ensued. Bissett was apprehended by Cuba Police officers and processed. Bissett was arraigned and sent to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
