Reed Announces 2017 Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C.- Congressman Tom Reed announces that the 2017 Congressional Art Competition is now underway. All high school students in New York’s 23rd Congressional District are encouraged to participate for the chance to have their artwork showcased in the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.
I care about ensuring students across our region have the opportunity to display their talents. We encourage our area high school students to participate in this unique program,” said Reed.
The annual competition is open to all high school students in the 23rd Congressional District. One student will have their original artwork displayed for one year in the United States Capitol and will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. for the Exhibition Opening Celebration of their artwork. Five student finalists will have their artwork displayed in Tom Reed’s Washington, D.C. office.
Framed artwork must be submitted with the appropriate documentation available at
https://reed.house.gov/services/art-competition by April 24 Winners will be selected and notified by May 9.
