Canaseraga man held on $50,000 cash bail following alleged assault

PRESS RELEASEOn Friday April 7th, 2017, Jeremiah W. Krupp, 38 of Canaseraga, NY was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Amity-based state police BCI for Attempted Assault 1st w/intent cause serious injury w/weapon (Felony), Strangulation 2nd (Felony), Criminal Obstruction Breathing (Misdemeanor), Menacing 2nd  w/Weapon (Misdemeanor), Assault 3rd w/intent cause physical injury (Misdemeanor), Act in a Manner Injuring a Child less than 17 (Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief-Prevent request for emergency call (Misdemeanor), and Torturing or Injuring Animals (Misdemeanor).
The arrest stems from an investigation where the alleged conduct occurred on more than one day in the Town of Burns.  Krupp was processed at SP Amity and arraigned in Town of Burns Court before T/J Trickler.  Krupp was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
