The Allegany Legislature today voted to approve extending the county sales tax until 2019. Voting no were legislators Burt, Decker, Graves and Ungermann.
Lawmakers, also, by a unanimous vote, approved a resolution that gave the green light to standardizing official county documents and vehicle markings. Some lawmakers said they would vote against the measure, but it was approved by a unanimous vote. County insiders said after the measure was explained in detail, legislators agreed to support the measure.
The resolution called for uniformity in all county documents to enhance professionalism and also called for decals on county vehicles to 'look the same.'
