The NYSP are investigating a hit and run collision from Friday January 27, 2017 at 11:50 a.m. The suspect vehicle, a black Hyundai Accent between the model years of 2007 and 2011, was traveling eastbound when it went off the road in the Hamlet of Cowlesville (T/Bennington, Wyoming Co.). The vehicle struck a mailbox, then a red GMC Sierra pickup truck before coming to rest against a tree. The Hyundai fled the scene eastbound with extensive damage to the front end.
