Efforts Recognized by National Association of Manufacturers
Tom Reed continues to fight for U.S. manufacturing jobs and revitalizing domestic manufacturing during an event with area business and economic development leaders today in Corning. During the event, Reed was recognized as a leader on the subject by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). “We care about developing the quality, family sustaining jobs of today and tomorrow right here in our region,” said Reed. “It’s only right that as we have a fresh start with a new administration that we begin focusing on ways to create those jobs. We appreciate the support of so many from around our region which made this award possible.”
Reed received the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence in recognition for his efforts to support domestic manufacturing both around the region and across the nation.
“Manufacturing in New York and across the country are changing lives for the better—through the jobs we create and the products we make. Manufacturing is about improving the human condition, one innovation at a time,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “Rep. Reed is helping to make our success possible by standing with manufacturers when it matters most.”
