Born in Hornell May 17, 1957, he was the son of William Dingwell Sr. and Laverna Say Dingwell.
Bill had resided in Rochester during his early years, in Mississippi for a few years but in the Canisteo area the remainder of his life. He will be fondly remembered as a talented drummer, having played with several area bands including the former OTC Band. He lived life to his fullest and received Gold Medals in the Wheelchair Olympics He loved horseback riding and will be remembered for his participation in the Civil War Reenactment Group.
He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Carol Reinoehl, and Marlene Walsh.
Surviving are his long time companion, Barbara Jean Hurd, 3 step-daughters, Mindi (Michael) DuBrey of Baldwinsville, Carolyn (James) Repass of Victor and Dakota Craft of Hornell, 6 Step-grandchildren, Claire Craft, Liliana Craft, Shelby Burdett, Jacob DuBrey, Alex Repass and Sadie Repass.
Honoring Bill’s wishes there will be no calling hours of services. Friends wishing to remember him are asked to contribute to any local Animal Shelter.
