Steuben County deputies arrested 41-year-old Kevin J.
Tibbits of Green Street in Canisteo and 32-year-old Nadine M. Tibbits of Hawkes
Avenue in Hornell following a report of a large fight and a weapons
discharge. It is alleged that Mr.
Tibbits caused physical injury to another person and violated a duly served
order of protection while at a residence on County Route 68 in the Town of
Hartsville. It is also alleged that Ms.
Tibbets struck another person. Mr.
Tibbits was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Criminal Contempt in
the Second Degree. Ms. Tibbits was
charged with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree. Mr. and Ms. Tibbits were both arraigned and
released. Sheriff Allard thanks the New York State Police for their assistance
in this investigation.
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that deputies completed a search warrant following the arrest of 45-year-old Dana L. McCarrick of Riley Hill Road in Caton. The search allegedly revealed two deadly weapons, a large quantity of suspected marihuana, along with items allegedly used to grow marihuana indoors. On December 31st, McCarrick was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony and Unlawfully Growing Cannabis, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and held in the Steuben County Jail due to his pre-trial detention as a federal inmate.
