Turner N. Polen “former Genesee, Pa. resident”
WELLSVILLE, N.Y.---Turner N. Polen, 94, of Wellsville, a former longtime resident of Genesee, Pa., passed away in his home on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
Born on Thursday, August 26, 1926 in Wind Ridge, Pa., he the
youngest son of fourteen children of John T. and Winifred Turner Polen.
Turner was a veteran of the US Army having served during World
War II. He was employed as a safety
supervisor for the American Bridge Division of US Steel in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. A hard worker, Polen
throughout most of his life worked two jobs.
Building and remodeling homes was his passion. Polen was a man who would lend a helping hand
to anyone in need. He loved his dog
Jake.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Richard Hahn) Polen-Hahn of
Hamilton, N.J.; a son, John (Pam) Polen of Genesee, Pa.; two grandchildren,
Karl J. Kunz and John T. Polen IV; two great-grandchildren, Justin D. Kunz and
Alex Volente; his friends, Bill and Maureen Gilner of Genesee; his caregiver,
Theresa Poehmel; and many nieces and nephews.
Turner was predeceased by his parents; a grandson, Justin Kunz;
and several brothers and sisters.
In keeping with Turner’s wishes, there will be no public
visitation or funeral services.

County, PO Box 381, Wellsville, NY 14895.
Turner had entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin
J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home,
Shinglehouse, Pa.
