Allegany – Edith Darlene "Edie" Weatherley "Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Sister"
Edith D. "Edie" Weatherley, of 4526 S. Cooper Hill Rd., passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at her home, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Edie was born on May 23, 1961 in Olean and was a daughter of Walter K. and Irmel C. Collins Wilber. On Nov. 19, 1977, she married her husband of 24 years, Mark L. Weatherley, who predeceased her on November 10, 2002.
Edie attended Allegany School. She worked at Farnsworth Cookie Factory in Olean and Cuba, Child's Blueberry, and the Microtel, for about 15 years, up until her illness in 2018. Edie enjoyed scratch off tickets, word search puzzles, Bingo, going to the casino, and playing horseshoes. She loved all football and was a Buffalo Bills fan. Edie truly loved spending time with her children & grandchildren and was very proud of them all, especially her grandson, MJ, who is in the US Navy.
Edie is survived by; 3 children, Jamie L. Weatherley, Mark R. Weatherley, and Allen W. Weatherley all of Allegany; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Daisy Brockel of Olean and Nina Roberts of Wellsville; a brother, Calvin Wilber of Franklinville; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Weatherley; a brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bill "Bub" (Susan) Weatherley; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends; and a loving companion, Glenn Weatherley.
Along with her loving husband, Edie was predeceased by, her parents, and a sister, Ella Mae Gomez on December 12, 2017.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at which time a Funeral Service will be held, at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc.,646 East State Street, Olean.
