Murder-suicide in Cuba - case involved former police officer, retired state Corrections Officer

A former part time Cuba police officer and his wife are dead, victims of an apparent murder-suicide.
Cuba police say they investigated a murder-suicide Thursday afternoon. At 5:25 p.m., Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch said his officers responded to a welfare check call at 9231 Health Camp Road in Cuba. When police arrived, Burch said they found an adult male and female dead inside the same room of the home. The female victim suffered multiple injuries and the male had a single gunshot wound. The couple were husband and wife and identified at Barbara E. Ramsey, age 57 and Timothy A. Ramsey, age 60. The Allegany County Coroner's Office responded to the scene. Also assisting: The District Attorney's Office, State Police Forensic Identification Unit, Allegany and Chautauqua County deputies. The Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office ruled both as homicide. The lead Investigator was Jim Galatio of the Cuba Police Department. Numerous law enforcement officials confirmed that Timothy Ramsey was a former part time Cuba Police Officer and retired state corrections officer.
Cuba police said they would not take any further questions.
