Family says thank you to caregivers

Thank you to Cherish Cline, Rev. Rick Roberts and Hospice,

We want to say a huge thank you to Cherish for what she did to help Kenneth Swartout, father/grandfather/great grandfather, in a time of need in Hospice care. When our family found out Cherish was his Hospice Care Nurse, we all knew we were/are blessed! We have known Cherish for many years prior to her becoming the wonderful, caring, and passionate nurse she is today. We know her family and they raised a wonderful young woman who has the passion to care for those close to the end of their lives. Cherish saw Ken once a week for a little over a year; they would talk and have many good conversations. Cherish would keep us family updated on his condition and it was very recent that his health declined; she was always honest and told us how it was. We live out of state, so she always ensured we were kept informed with everything. God be with you Cherish and your family always!

Rick is the Chaplain at Hospice. Every time we've spoken with Rick, he was always very inspiring and uplifting, knowing Ken was ready to go home with our Lord and his wife. It was such an honor to have Rick talk with Ken on occasions and be able to know him more. Ken's funeral service was a beautiful service with great memories and kind words said about him.   Thank you, Rick, and may God bless you and your family always!

To those who work at Hospice, including those we had a chance to speak with, thank you. This service is such a blessing to those who are in need and to the families who are watching and in pain as well, whether we are near or far away. May God bless you all always!

Blessings,

The family of Kenneth Swartout in Texas, North Carolina, and near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Thank you to everyone at the Wellsville Manor Assisted Living for the care you gave our dad/grandfather/great grandfather Kenneth Swartout over the few years.
Ken really enjoyed his time there and met a lot of new friends, some of whom were from school or work back in the days.  He enjoyed his freedom and yet knew you were there when needed.   Then when he was really set down due to his heart and blood sugar, you were there to help him more along the way.  You all would keep us informed of changes, activities that included hospital visits, and so much more.   When Hospice came in and helped along, you were great to share the responsibility with them.  Thank you.  I want to say thank you to Dr. Rumble for all you did to help keep Ken going for as long as you did.   A few times it was questionable of what to do, but you stuck by him and for that we are all grateful.
I would like to say thank you to all the office staff who has helped close the chapter we all had together.  To the nurses, all of you, thank you for the care you have given to Ken during the times of surgery and at the end of his life.  To the aides who dad loved to talk with and always were there when he needed assistance, thank you.  To his table partner who he would draw pictures with at each meal or a special friend whom he talked with often, May God truly bless all y’all in the days ahead.  Know that Ken is with his wife now but is looking down and watching each of you in your hearts.

God Bless.
