On August 18th, 2020, at around 7:24p.m., Deputies were
patrolling westbound on State Route 39, in the Town of Eagle, when a white 2002
Honda CRV was observed traveling in the same direction. A random data check
showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended for insurance not in affect and
following a traffic stop, Shelley R. Baldwin (37, of Ellicottville) was
arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Baldwin
was processed roadside and issued appearance tickets for Operate Motor Vehicle
with Suspended Registration and Operate Uninsured Motor Vehicle and is
scheduled to appear in the Town of Eagle Court at a later date.
On August 14th, 2020, at around 5:30p.m. Deputies were
checking the area of Ryan Road, in the Town of Warsaw, for the report of two
suspicious vehicles parked on the side of the roadway the last couple of days.
A Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Investigator, driving an unmarked vehicle,
checked the area but the vehicle’s appeared to be gone upon arrival. After
leaving the scene, the Investigator observed a vehicle matching the description
of one of the vehicles from the complaint nearby. A Deputy in a marked Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office patrol vehicle initiated a vehicle and traffic enforcement stop on the
vehicle on Dale Road at Pflaum Road and identified Alyssa L. Nowakowski (22, of
East Bethany) as the driver of the vehicle. Nowakowski showed a suspended
license for failure to pay child support and was placed under arrest.
Nowakowski was processed roadside and issued an appearance ticket for
Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree and is scheduled to appear in the
Town of Middlebury Court at a later date.
