Catherine H. PHOTOPOULOS, 86, of Greer, SC, formerly of
Ulysses, PA, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in her daughter’s home.
Born January 28, 1934, in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the
daughter of John and Sophia Reres. On December 4, 1955, in Atlantic City, NJ,
she married Stephen P. Photopoulos, who predeceased her on June 13, 2012.
Catherine and her husband owned and operated The Chateau in Ardmore, PA for 18
years and the Brass Balloon in Wellsville, NY for 10 years. She was a longtime
member of St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall, PA.
Surviving are: three sons, Peter S. (Maria) Photopoulos of
Reading, PA, Anthony S. (Lisa) Photopoulos of Pottstown, PA, and Stephen S.
(Kelly) Photopoulos of Pittsburgh, PA; three daughters, Jioanna Carjuzza of Bozeman,
MT, Athena (Steven) Levy of Boulder, CO, and Stephanie (Jerrold) Walsh of
Greer, SC; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A private
graveside service will be held in All Saints Cemetery, Brookland, PA. A
memorial service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 247, Ulysses, PA 16948.
