Independence Police Blotter

Independence Police report that Zachariah J. Cramer-Wylie, 25, of Eldred, PA was charged after a one car personal injury auto accident on State Route 248 / Hallsport Rd in the Town of Independence.  Cramer-Wylie was issued the following tickets: aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO) of a motor vehicle third degree,  reckless driving, leave scene of a personal injury auto accident, unlicensed operator, no seatbelt, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, speed in zone, speed over posted 55 zone, fail to keep right, move from lane unsafely and improper passing. Cramer-Wylie was traveling on the Hallsport Rd at an unsafe speed, which caused the vehicle to lose control, crossing into the east bound lane, then skidding 603 feet and collided with a tree. Cramer-Wylie and a female passenger then fled from the scene on foot. The female passenger was located a short distance from the scene and was transported to Jones Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.  Cramer-Wylie surrendered to the Independence Police and was processed on the listed charges and released. Cramer-Wylie is due to appear in the Town of Independence Court on September 23, 2020 for further court action.  New York State Police, Whitesville Fire and Ambulance assisted on scene.
