Flames consume barn in Hornellsville

A fire this morning destroyed a barn in the Town of Hornellsville. The alarm sounded around 3 a.m. sending Arkport firefighters to 7655 Doorley Road. Numerous calls to 911 reported the barn was fully engulfed in flames. One caller said there may have been an explosion inside the building. Additional help to battle the fire was called in from North Hornell, South Hornell, Freemont and Almond. The cause is under investigation.
