Spencer Agency, Inc., a locally founded insurance office serving the Candor, Spencer and Van Etten areas for more than 100 years, announced it will be merging with Genesee Valley Agency (GVA), of Arkport, NY as of July 1. Spencer Agency will be changing its name under the Genesee Valley Agency brand.
The new partnership will offer more insurance choices and additional carrier options as well as more comprehensive and specialized services to existing clients and new clients alike. As a larger, but still independent, organization with broader expertise, GVA offers more options, insurance products and locations for its clientele. GVA, founded in 2016, currently has seven locations in New York State in Arkport, Avoca, Caledonia, Dansville, North Chili, Odessa and Wayland.
Spencer Agency’s Kelly Haynes will join Susan Selberg, Aaron Benton and Philip Weise as partners of GVA. “We at Spencer Agency are excited to begin our new venture with Genesee Valley Agency and to explore the new capabilities and services that we will now be able to provide to both our existing clients and new clients in communities across New York State,” said Haynes. “I am excited to join a team of professionals that boasts valuable personal relationships as well as extensive knowledge, experience and competitive products.”
