Respectful, peaceful demonstrations in Wellsville, Cuba

Wellsville

By the dozens, people demonstrated peacefully Monday evening in Wellsville. The movement was in response to the death of George Floyd. The signs read-“this is not a political issue…I can’t breathe…listen, learn and love”…and more. They marched down Main Street and congregated at the public library.

Cuba

Several community members walked through the village of Cuba to show support for our community, state, and nation led by Joe Miller and Jeff Giampa. This message applies well to our nation today as we are seeing the outcome of anger and unrest dividing people and resulting in violence.  Members of the Cuba Police Department gladly joined them to ensure that they were safe as they marched in their mission of peace, love, diversity and inclusion.
