White House Coronavirus Task Force Response Coordinator is 1976 graduate of Houghton College, Allegany County

Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House Coronavirus Task Force Response Coordinator, is also a 1976 graduate of Houghton College. Shirley Mullen, Houghton president, graduated with Birx. Mullen told Spectrum News, "Little did either of us imagine at that time that the COVID-19 virus would really change everything for the country and put her in the limelight in a different way. But it was a limelight she was very well prepared for. Very proud of Dr. Deborah Birx."
