Patient At ARC House In Hornell Found Dead, Hornell Man Charged - WLEA

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Police Chief Ted Murray and Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker held a press conference late this afternoon, and announced a tragic incident that happened at the Hornell ARC House on Elm Street. Both Baker and Murray stated that this morning at 7:30am, a 9-1-1 call came in. Officials responded and found dead inside the ARC House on Elm Street, a 60-year-old Jay Sprague.
The suspect, is Alan Schultheis, 65, of Greeley Avenue, Hornell, who is said to have been an employee at the ARC House.
The charges against Schultheis, are Murder in the Second Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence In the First Degree.
