Alma candidates announced

PRESS RELEASE

As many of you know, elections are approaching, and there are TWO councilman seats open for the Alma Town Board.
Steve Dickerson (Rep) has lived in Alma his entire life. He is the president of the Town of Alma Playground Association and is Vice President of T.A.C.D.O  (Town of Alma Community Development Organization). He was also an active firefighter in the Alma Vol Fire Dept.
Jerry Currier (Rep) has lived in Alma for 45 Years. He was employed for the Alma Highway Department and retired after 35 years.
Karen Dickerson (Dem) has lived in Alma for 26 years. She is the secretary of the Town of Alma Playground Association and a member of many committees in Allegany County. Steve and Karen Dickerson also donated property in Alma to have a playground for the community children (Dickerson Memorial Park). Included is a walking track and pavilion, where many community events are held.

These three candidates are not afraid to stand up for what is right and to protect the citizens of this town. They were the three who stood up and defended the citizens when the town board voted “NO” for the County Snow and Ice Contract (Oct 23rd). They tried their hardest to prove the facts and protection needed to keep our town safe and were still shut out. We need a change and fresh start on the Alma Town Board for the safety of our children and citizens of Alma! So please, get out and vote on November 5th and help protect our small town we call home!
