Steuben Public Works to apply additional state funds toward roadwork

BATH -- Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Vince Spagnoletti said work on three county roads is back on schedule, thanks to the restoration of $642,856 in New York’s Extreme Winter Weather funds. Spagnoletti said the following projects are back on the 2019 road repair schedule -- CR 14 (3 miles) in the Town of Howard, CR 97 (2.7 miles) in the Town of Wayne and CR 31 (3 miles) in Jasper/Troupsburg. Spagnoletti said county roads 14 and 97 already have been recycled this year to provide a base course of blacktop, which is back on schedule. The state’s Extreme Winter Weather funds are part of the PAVE NY program.
