Travel Advisory - I-86 Exit 47 Bridge Work, Corning, Steuben County

The New York State Department of Transportation announced today that bridge joint replacement work will begin on the Interstate 86 exit 47 interchange, in the town of Corning on June 18, 2019.  Work will consist of removing and replacing existing bridge joints. For the duration of this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained.  Work is anticipated to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists may encounter flaggers, lane closures and could experience travel delays.  It is imperative that motorists remember this season to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter. Motorists are urged to slow down and safely move over when approaching roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
