Almond crash leads to DWI charge for Scio man

On June 22, SP Amity Troopers arrested James G. Hardy, 27, of Scio for Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
During their investigation of a one-car accident on County Road 11 in the town of Almond, Hardy, the driver, who troopers said was found walking along County Road 11, was allegedly exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers claim he had been operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests. Hardy was then arrested and transported to SP Amity, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.09% BAC.
Hardy was issued appearance tickets for Almond Town Court, where he is due to appear in July.
