Wellsville: Village Board renews contract with school for School Resource Officer

The Wellsville Village Board Monday night approved a one-year extension of the School Resource Officer (SRO) contract with the Wellsville Central School system. Last summer, the village board and the board of education came to terms on a deal to have Wellsville officer Chad Green serve as the SRO. The new deal includes an increased payment to Green of about $1,400 to cover union contractual adjustments. Police Chief Tim O'Grady made the request to the village board, which Trustee's accepted. O'Grady said Green has been "very active" in the buildings.
