Ken was a pipefitter for General Dynamics Co. in Groton, CT. Prior to his retirement he was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed four wheeling, digging Ginseng, spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and his loving dog Meesh.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Dawn Horan of Honeoye Falls, NY, Billie Jo (Tom) Garrity of Bolivar and Aimee (Justin) Bailey of Wellsboro, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, one sister Carolyn DeLong of Coudersport and one brother Steve Appleby in Shinglehouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Terry Appleby.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Wednesday June 26, 2019 from 11a.m.- 1p.m. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 1p.m. Rev. David Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
