“We care about ensuring our friends and neighbors have fair
access to reliable transportation,” Tom said. “These grants enable our local
airports to fund maintenance projects and ensure the efficiency of their
operations. It is important that we invest in our infrastructure and we are
pleased these grants will allow our local airports to continue their high
quality of service across to people across the district.”

Director of the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. “We appreciate this important
federal funding to rehabilitate our primary taxiway and thank Representative
Reed for his ongoing support of the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.”
“Seneca County appreciates the continued support of
Congressman Reed and the FAA for the two-phase Apron Reconstruction project at
the Finger Lakes Regional Airport (FLRA),” said Robert Shipley, Chairman of the
Seneca County Board of Supervisors. “Last summer, the FLRA successfully
completed the North Apron Reconstruction project, and this funding will support
work at the South Apron. This project
will continue that momentum. It would not be possible without their support.”

investment in the Wellsville Airport is an investment in the future and will
help in our economic development efforts to grow new business, retain existing
business and expand our higher education facilities in Allegany County and the
surrounding area.”
“The City of Olean is very grateful to the U. S. Department
of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration for awarding grants of over
$300,000 that will help the City rehabilitate the runway and reconstruct the
apron at the Cattaraugus County Olean Airport,” said William J. Aiello, Mayor
of the City of Olean. “The Cattaraugus County Olean Airport is a vital asset
not only to City of Olean but to the entire County; and this grant is a welcome
resource as Olean continues to meet the fiscal challenges inherent in our
annual budget.”
The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT)
awards Airport Improvement Grants (AIP) through the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) for the planning and development of public-use airports.
In December 2018, USDOT awarded $205 million in supplemental funding for
infrastructure grants to small airports in 34 states.
