Allegany County considers sending cash to help out Wellsville Municipal Airport

It’s unclear if Allegany County taxpayers will funnel money to the Wellsville Municipal Airport, but county residents may have a chance to chime in if legislators approve a public hearing for next month. The potential public hearing, which may happen July 8th, will give residents a chance to say if they like the idea of a local law that could slip some cash to the aviation facility. It’s been a thorny issue for county lawmakers. The legislature will vote on holding a public hearing on the proposed local law when they meet on Monday, 2 p.m., June 24th.
