Fresh produce, fruit, maple syrup, eggs, cheese, meat, and
gourmet baked goods will be ready for purchase. Market customers can also
browse through wool products, dog treats, pet items, and artisan crafts. For
food items, the market can accept SNAP/EBT, WIC checks and FMNP (Farmers Market
Nutrition Program) senior checks. Cash of course is welcome and many vendors
accept credit cards and personal checks.
The market is hosting their Family Activities tent run by
Allecia Brutsman and Garret Paine. Individuals of all ages and abilities can
join in the fun and be entertained with hands on educational and hands on
activities. Each week the family fun tent will include activities like
basketry, jewelry making, and other arts and crafts. Live music will be featured
each Sunday, with 12 string guitarist Oren Wiley Clark Schultz playing on the
opening day. “We would love to see families bring picnics or grab lunch from
the food truck; relax and enjoy the music,” said Mary Gardner Ruch, board
member. As a fundraiser, the market will raffle off handmade ceramic mugs
created by Alfred University students and professors and by the Mud Club in
Wellsville.
Market manager, Rick Monaco, is always searching for new
