Penn Yan – The Steuben County Democratic Committee has unanimously endorsed Tracy Mitrano as the Democratic candidate for New York’s 23rd Congressional District. Appearing before the full committee May 8, Mitrano spoke for 15 minutes and answered questions from members. Committee Chair Shawn Hogan says the vote that followed reflected the members’ belief that Mitrano is “right on the issues and right with the people she hopes to represent.
“Tracy understands the struggles of the middle class, the need for affordable education, the need for student loan reform, to help our young people get a fresh and fair start in life without crippling debt, the need for living wage jobs,” says Hogan. “She wants to promote recruitment of much-needed family physicians to our rural areas and support our struggling hospitals. Tracy stands with the middle class and working men and women of our district.”
Mitrano has also been endorsed by Democratic committees in Yates and Schuyler counties, and by the executive committee of the Chautauqua County Democratic Committee.
