PRESS RELEASEThis afternoon at 12:30 p.m., State Police in Bath responded to a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian on State Route 415 in the town of Bath. A pedestrian was attempting to cross Route 415 when the operator of a westbound motor vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The injured party was taken to Ira Davenport Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The operator of the motor vehicle was also taken to the hospital and is being interviewed by State Police.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor and more information will be released when it becomes available.
