Wellsville man sentenced on felony DWI charge

A Wellsville man has avoided prison time after being convicted of felony driving while intoxicated. In Allegany County court today, Brandon Carter, 35, was fined $1,000 plus a $545 surcharge. Judge Terry Parker also sentenced him to a three year conditional discharge requiring an ignition interlock system, victim impact panel and his license will be revoked for one year. Carter was arrested for impaired driving on July 28, 2018 on State Route 417 in Bolivar. Carter was represented by J.R. Santana, Assistant Public Defender. The case was prosecuted by J. Thomas Fuoco, Assistant District Attorney.
