Wellsville man charged with impaired driving

Earlier this week, law enforcement agencies announced they would be cracking down on impaired driving from Friday through Monday during the St. Patrick's Day weekend. They were serious. At 3 a.m. today on State Route 19 in the village of Wellsville, troopers arrested Edward D. Linnecke, 28, of Wellsville. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath test and moving from a lane unsafely. He was held for court action.
