Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on March 22,
2019, deputies arrested Joshua L. Surine, age 38, of Gerreygreen Road,
Farmington, New York, following a traffic stop on County Route 99, Woodhull,
New York. It is alleged that Mr. Surine possessed a quantity of suspected
methamphetamine and did not possess a valid driver’s license. Mr. Surine was
charged with Fail to use Turn Signal, Unlicensed Operator and Criminal
Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. It is also alleged
that Mr. Surine was wanted due to two active warrants from Pennsylvania. Mr.
Surine appeared in the Centralized Arraignment Court and was remanded to the
Steuben County Jail to appear in Woodhull Town Court at a later date.

2019, deputies arrested William P. Niver, age 39, of West William Street
Extension, Bath, New York. It is alleged that Mr. Niver engaged in a physical
altercation with another male subject at a residence on West William Street
Extension, Bath, New York, and caused physical injury to the male by means of a
weapon. Mr. Niver was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D
Felony. Mr. Niver was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court, and
remanded to the Steuben County Jail, to appear in the Town of Bath Court at a
later date.
