CUBA – Allegany County’s Young Professionals Group will host their next Quarterly Event, a professional development opportunity, at the recently opened Old Grey Hound Pub & Eatery in Cuba on Thursday, March 21, from 6 – 8 p.m.
The event will be the group’s first professional development opportunity, covering Leadership Development and the real challenges that young professionals face in the workplace as they ascend into leadership positions in their careers.
The Allegany County Young Professionals Group is thrilled to welcome Susan Bull, Executive Director of the Allegany County United Way, as the featured speaker at this event. A long-time resident of Allegany County, U.S. Army Veteran, and leader in the non-profit sector with over a decade of senior leadership experience, Bull brings a wealth of knowledge to the leadership discussion and is a valuable mentor to future leaders.
“Leadership development is something I'm passionate about,” said Bull, “I enjoy helping teams stay true to their mission and vision through the challenges that come with change, conflict, and growth. I’m looking forward to speaking to the Allegany County Young Professionals on this important topic.”

“The Young Professionals group has been able to host some fun social gatherings in the fall and winter for networking with peers and mentors, but with this professional development opportunity, we also want to show that we have value as an organization that helps our members continue to develop their skills set in order to advance their careers within Allegany County,” concluded Keenan.
“Increasing and engaging with the Young Professional population in Allegany County is integral to our future economic health and community vibrancy,” said Angela McKay, Assistant Director of Economic Development at Allegany County, the office that provides support to the Allegany County Young Professionals Group. “Our Young Professionals Group is one major driver behind our efforts to increase and engage with this population in Allegany County; the activities hosted by this group highlight some of Allegany County’s best assets, keep Young Professionals engaged in their communities, and help them continue to develop their professional skills. There has been great engagement in the past two quarterly events and we’re hoping for a similar turn-out next Thursday for our first event in Cuba.”
